WORSHOP DETAILS AGENDA :
Agricultural robotics is a booming sector, and a lot of robots are tested on the fields. There is a huge room for many different applications, and we know from the fast adoption of technologies like GPS that farmers are prone to adopting new technologies if there is added value for them. Robots can help farmers in many ways, from saving time to helping with tedious or painful tasks, as well as in reducing the use of pesticides.
However, only few of these robots will hit the market. What are the main reasons? What are the pitfalls to avoid? How can EU agricultural robotics stakeholders contribute to a better industrialization rate?
14h: Introduction: Frédéric Colledani
14h10: Lighthouse in agri-food: Renaud Champion (EU Robotics)
14h20: Networking and stakeholder involvement in EU: Janneke de Kramer (Wageningen University and Research)
14h40: Relevant EU projects (short pitch by project)
15h: discussion with the workshop participants: focus on the next action to do.
